Paragons are the most powerful upgrades in Bloons TD 6 — Tier 6 towers that surpass every other upgrade in the game. They’re expensive, complex to unlock, and wildly overpowered when done right. But most players don’t know the Degree system or how to maximize Paragon power.
This guide covers every Paragon in BTD6, how to unlock them, how Degree works, and which ones are worth building in actual gameplay.
What Is a Paragon in BTD6?
A Paragon is a special Tier 6 upgrade that combines all three upgrade paths of a specific tower type into one ultimate form. Instead of choosing between, say, a 5-2-0 or 0-2-5 Dart Monkey, a Paragon merges everything — you get the power of all Tier 5 upgrades at once.
Paragons exist outside the normal upgrade tree. They require a specific set of prerequisites and a large cash investment to unlock.
How to Unlock a Paragon
To unlock any Paragon, you need three Tier 5 towers of the same type on the map simultaneously. For example, to unlock the Super Monkey Paragon, you need three separate Super Monkeys, each upgraded to Tier 5 along any path (5-2-0, 0-5-2, 2-0-5, etc.).
Once you have three Tier 5 towers of the same type, a “Paragon” button appears on the upgrade panel. Click it to convert one of the Tier 5 towers into the Paragon form (the other two are consumed in the process).
The Paragon upgrade itself costs additional cash — typically $200,000–$500,000 depending on the specific tower type.
What Is Paragon Degree?
Paragon Degree (1–100) determines how powerful the Paragon is. A Degree 1 Paragon is already extremely strong. A Degree 100 Paragon is essentially game-breaking.
Degree is calculated based on total investment in that tower type across the current map:
- Total cash spent on all towers of that type
- Number of Tier 5 towers sacrificed in the Paragon upgrade
- Pops made by those towers during the game
In solo play, reaching Degree 20–30 is realistic with smart investment. Degree 100 in solo requires sacrificing three Tier 5 towers at maximum investment plus generating enormous pop counts — typically only achievable on specific maps with specific strategies.
In co-op with 4 players, all players’ investments count toward the Degree calculation. This is how groups reach Degree 100 — four players each buying Tier 5 towers and contributing to the total.
All BTD6 Paragons (2026)

True Sun God — Super Monkey Paragon
The True Sun God is one of the original Paragons added to BTD6 and remains one of the strongest. It combines the Sun Temple’s divine-class attacks with the Dark Knight’s spectral damage and the Legend of the Night’s passive regeneration-drain. At high Degree, the True Sun God can solo entire waves of MOABs and BFBs without support.
Best use: Late game (Round 80+) against dense MOAB-class bloons. Place it centrally for maximum coverage.
Navarch of the Seas — Monkey Buccaneer Paragon
The Navarch of the Seas summons a fleet of ships that attack independently while also providing massive support auras. It deals with grouped bloons extremely efficiently and has enormous range coverage. At Degree 100, it essentially clears entire screens of bloons per second.
Best use: Water maps where you can chain multiple ship attacks. Pairs well with Benjamin for economy.
Bloon Solver — Dartling Gunner Paragon
The Bloon Solver is a rapid-fire Paragon with insane pierce and attack speed. It converts bloons to cash as it pops them at higher Degrees, making it useful for both defense and income generation. It excels against grouped bloons and mid-tier MOAB-class threats.
Best use: Anywhere on the track where you need constant high-DPS coverage. Works on nearly every map type.
Apex Plasma Master — Dart Monkey Paragon
The Apex Plasma Master fires plasma bolts with massive pierce and damage. It’s one of the more accessible Paragons since Dart Monkeys are cheap — you can invest heavily in them early and reach a higher Degree than with more expensive tower types. At Degree 20+, it handles rounds 80–100 with minimal support.
Best use: Budget Paragon runs. Dart Monkeys are cheap enough that you can build three Tier 5s without breaking your economy.
Goliath Doomship — Monkey Ace Paragon
The Goliath Doomship is an aerial Paragon that dominates the entire map from above. It drops bombs, fires missiles, and releases mini-planes simultaneously. Because it’s airborne, its attacks aren’t blocked by terrain — one of the few Paragons that’s equally effective on every map.
Best use: Maps with unusual pathing where ground-based Paragons have coverage gaps.
Unfinished Business — Bomb Shooter Paragon
The Unfinished Business deals catastrophic AoE damage and is particularly strong against MOAB-class bloons. It chains explosions across groups of bloons efficiently. The trade-off: Bomb Shooters are expensive to upgrade to Tier 5, making Degree 100 harder to reach than with cheaper towers.
Best use: Rounds 80–120 against grouped MOABs and BFBs. Pair with a crowd-control hero like Obyn for maximum effect.
Master Builder — Engineer Monkey Paragon
The Master Builder builds an army of sentry guns that fill the screen, while its own attacks devastate individual targets. It’s unique in that it fights like multiple towers in one. At high Degree, the sentry army becomes essentially uncounterable for most bloon types.
Best use: Any map where area denial and sustained DPS matter more than single-target burst damage.
Paragon Degree Tips — How to Get Higher Degree
- Max all three Tier 5 towers before converting — don’t convert the moment you hit three Tier 5s. Buy cross-path upgrades on each to maximize cash investment.
- Use MK for extra cash — Monkey Knowledge nodes that boost starting cash let you invest more into tower types early.
- Co-op is the fastest path to Degree 100 — four players splitting the investment hits Degree 100 far more reliably than solo.
- Farm first, Paragon second — see our Banana Farm guide to set up proper income before dropping $500k on a Paragon upgrade.
Are Paragons Worth It?
In standard gameplay: yes, if you’re aiming for CHIMPS or late-game survival modes. A single Degree 20+ Paragon can carry rounds 80–120 almost solo.
In Impoppable: they’re extremely effective but the cash investment is steep — you need strong early economy. Read our CHIMPS mode guide for how to set up the economy before committing to a Paragon build.
Want all Paragons without the grind? The BTD6 MOD APK gives you unlimited cash from round 1 — enough to build any Paragon on any map.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you unlock Paragons in BTD6?
Place 3 fully upgraded towers of the same type (all three 5-tier paths) and sacrifice them to one tower. Paragon Power from sacrificed towers determines the Paragon's tier.
Which Paragon is the strongest in BTD6?
Dartling Gunner Paragon (Hyper Acceleration) and Ninja Monkey Paragon (Ascended Shadow) are top tier. Each excels in different situations — Dartling for raw damage, Ninja for camo lead popping.
Can you have multiple Paragons in one game in BTD6?
Yes — all 9 available Paragons can be deployed in one game. Each requires 3 fully maxed towers of its type as sacrifice.
Do Paragons work in CHIMPS mode in BTD6?
No — selling towers is disabled in CHIMPS, making it impossible to sacrifice towers and build Paragons. Paragons are only available in other game modes.
